Eli brings to Newsight Imaging over 24 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and sensor technology.
Before establishing Newsight imaging, Eli has held key positions in chip design and CAD in several leading companies, including Motorola, DSP Group, Magma ICCOM, Transchip and others. He has also served as the General Manager of Maple Technologies.

Eli holds a BSc. CS, and holds an Executive-MBA from the Bar Ilan University.

Eyal brings to Newsight Imaging more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Prior to founding Newsight, Eyal held CTO, R&D manager and VLSI department manager positions in full custom ASIC/FPGA design at leading semiconductor corporations. Among others, Eyal served as Consulting VLSI Director at Rachip and Director Chip Design at TransChip.
He is a Senior Lecturer at the Holon Institute of Technology, Hightech Experts Training and CDC.

Eyal holds a BA in Computer Engineering from the Technion and an MBA from Boston University.

Dr. George So is passionate about driving innovation and technology in sustainable developments to improve human lives and protect the environment. His vision and leadership were demonstrated in his involvement in different business associations and community services. the HK Innovation Association (Founding Chairman); the Guangdong-HK-Macao-Bay Area Innovation Technology and Knowledge Transfer Centre (Chairman); the HK International Blockchain, and Financial Association (Advisor), etc. His achievements also include appointments as the advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation; member of the Hong Kong Accreditation Service Advisory Board to the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR Government, and the Innovation and Technology Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Dr So has extensive experience in the chemical and technology related industries with Fortune 500 companies and subsidiaries in Hong Kong, such as Dow Chemical Pacific Limited and DuPont China Limited. In 2011, he established his own businesses as an entrepreneur investing in digital marketing, Cloud base ERP platform and APPS applications, Industry 4.0, AR/VR Technology, and Blockchain Technology. As well, he has provided consulting services for Solar-related business.

Dr So is currently the Founder and Chairman of AI InnoBio Ltd., a company using leading edge spectrographic technology and AI for COVID detection. He is also the Sponsor of Vision Sensing Acquisition Corp., a NASDAQ listed SPAC (stock code: VASCU) currently in the acquisition phase of targeting leading edge vision sensing, LIDAR and related AI technologies.

Dr So received his Bachelor and Master degree in chemical engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc.) at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. He later completed a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) there. In 2008, he received an Honorary Doctor Degree of Engineering (D.Eng) from Lincoln University in USA.  In 2021, he received a Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc) from Simpson University in USA as well as Honorary Doctor of Christian Ministry (D. Min) from Hong Kong Institute of Christian Counsellors.

Patricia Ackerman has served on three for profit boards and been the Management Representative for the Audit Committee and ESG advisor to the board at A.O. Smith. Her background in finance, investor relations and global governance makes her a valued board member. She has also served on over five not for profit boards, helping the community face healthcare and diversity challenges and assuring the continued competitiveness of a major research-driven state university. Her over 30 years of experience in progressive corporate finance positions has culminated in her last role before retiring in 2022 as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations, Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, and Treasurer of A.O. Smith an NYSE listed company and the world’s leading manufacturer of residential and commercial water heating equipment. She oversaw debt and equity, capital markets, global finance, treasury, and pension investments for this global company with operations in North America, China, India, and Europe.

Pat currently serves as s a board member of the American Red Cross for the Southeast Region of Wisconsin. Her contributions in the healthcare industry extend to being a former board member of the investment policy committee for Aurora Healthcare, the largest healthcare provider in the state of Wisconsin, and a finance committee member for the Wisconsin Multiple Sclerosis Society. She is an external advisory board member for Wisconsin School of Business and past Chairwoman of Milwaukee Women, Inc.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Business in Finance, she went on to earn an MBA from Marquette University. In 2001, she was named a Woman of Influence by the Milwaukee Business Journal. In 2021, the BizTimes of Milwaukee named her a notable woman on Corporate Boards.

Dr. Renu Bhatia is an accomplished senior executive with 25+ years of experience in the fintech, finance, real estate, and health care sectors. She has extensive experience in board and senior executive roles in the financial services industry, investment banking, asset management, and venture capital, including among others at Goldman Sachs and HSBC Asset Management, and Asia Fintech Angels.

Dr Bhatia is also a licensed physician, and Co- Founder of Opharmic Technology: a cutting edge, non-invasive drug delivery platform using ultrasound. She is well versed in start-ups having been responsible for the founding of ChinaMD, Paywise, SuperCharger,   and her current venture with Opharmic Technology.

In addition to her experience in institutional investment management and venture capital, Renu is experienced in evaluating financing alternatives and structures for early-stage companies. Furthermore, she has experience in real estate development as Director and Founder of Tancho Investment, which develops real state in Niseko in Japan.

Dr. Bhatia has served on a number of significant non-profit boards and is currently serving on these for Hong Kong Baptist University Business School, Cyberport Entrepreneurship Centre Advisory Group, and the Enterprise Assessment Panel of the ITF, and is a member of the Board of Review of Inland Revenue Hong Kong. She is the Deputy Chair of the Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

Dr Bhatia holds a Doctor of Medicine (MBBS) from the University of London (1983), a Master of Business Administrations from Yale University (1988) and a Post Grad Diploma in Therapeutics and Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (2012).

Among her awards and honors, Dr. Bhatia has received the Zubin Foundation Award (2018) and has been recognized as a leader in fintech,  FinTech Asia 100 (2016), FinTech Asia 200 (2018), Top 100 Women in Fintech (2018), and Top 100 Women in Fintech (2019 and 2021).

Aninda DasGupta is currently Senior Vice President at A. O. Smith Corp and President of A. O. Smith Holdings Srl. part of the S&P 500 index and listed on the NYSE. A. O. Smith is a 148-year-old leader in the global water heating and water treatment markets. Aninda is a member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for the international businesses of A. O. Smith, including operations in UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

Over a 34-year career, Aninda has held senior leadership roles in R&D, Marketing, Business Development, General Management, and International Sales in companies like OSRAM/Siemens, Philips Electronics, Flextronics, etc.  He has experience in B2B and B2C markets in offline and e-commerce channels in USA, EMEA and Asia. He has worked in start-ups, family-owned businesses, and large corporations.

Aninda joined A. O. Smith after working the last six years at OSRAM GmbH, one of the world’s largest lighting companies. He has also held general management and sales/marketing leadership positions at: DMC Worldwide, a maker of leading brands of consumer electronics and social content services that was headquartered in New York; IndoSino Group, a provider of marketing, sales, and sourcing services operating out of Hong Kong, SAR of China; Harvard International Plc, headquartered in Hong Kong, SAR of China, a manufacturer of a wide range of consumer products; Flextronics, a leading global contract manufacturing and engineering services provider; and Royal Philips N.V.

Aninda has graduate degrees in Engineering and Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Illinois, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

William Arthur Owens is a retired four-star admiral of the United States Navy and who served as the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1994 to 1996. Since leaving the military in 1996, he served as an executive or as a member of the board of directors of various companies, including as CEO of Nortel Networks Corporation, President and vice chairman of Science Applications International Corporation; Chair and CEO of Teledesic LLC (satellite communications); chairman and Managing Director of AEA Holdings Asia overseeing all Private Equity and in Asia, Chairman of CenturyLink (telecommunications); and more.

 

Owens is the co-founder and executive chairman of Red Bison Advisory Group, a company which identifies opportunities with proven enterprises in information and communication technology. Owens serves on the board of directors at Wipro, and the public SPAC Compass, and is a director of 11 private companies as well as Seattle University, the Fiscal Responsibility Amendment Assn. which aims to establish a balanced budget amendment to the US Constitution. He is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations.

 

Owens is an honors graduate of the United States Naval Academy in 1962, the University of Oxford, and George Washington University. He has written more than fifty articles on national security and authored the book “High Seas.” “Lifting the Fog of War,” and “China US 2039: the Endgame?”. He has received numerous recognitions and awards: the “Legion d’Honore” by France, and also the highest awards given to foreigners by the countries of Indonesia and Sweden. He was named as one of The 50 Most Powerful People in Networking by Network World, one of the 100 Best Board Members in the United States for 2011 and again in 2016 awarded by NACD, and the Intrepid Salute Award in recognition of his business achievements and support of important philanthropic activities. He is a North Dakota Roughrider, the award given annually to the most prominent North Dakotans.
